Corporate Image, Identity, and Reputation Management

This course explores the principles and practices of managing corporate image, identity, and reputation. It emphasizes how strategic communication shapes public perception, builds trust, and maintains organizational credibility, using case studies and theoretical frameworks.
Students will develop skills to design and implement communication strategies that strengthen corporate identity and reputation, producing reports, plans, and tools for effective stakeholder engagement.
Offered through the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Open University System, the course uses a blended open distance and e-learning approach, combining asynchronous access to materials with synchronous sessions for discussions, workshops, and collaborative activities.

Language and Media

This course explores the relationship between language and media across various communication platforms such as broadcast, digital, and social media. It examines how language constructs meaning, shapes narratives, and influences audiences in media texts and public discourse. 

By the end of the course, students will demonstrate critical understanding of language use in media through outputs such as discourse analyses, reflective essays, and media communication projects that apply effective and responsible language practices.  

The course will be delivered through the Open Distance and eLearning (ODeL) modality of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Open University System, using a combination of synchronous online sessions and asynchronous learning activities through digital modules, recorded lectures, and discussion forums.
