This course deals with the theories, concepts, and principles attendant to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the research process in the context of the nature of research, the research proposal, and research report writing. This process-oriented course aims to equip the students with the necessary knowledge, skills, perspective, and attitudes for conceptualizing and operationalizing the research process.

Third Year
This course is the first half of two undergraduate thesis courses leading to the computer science thesis. In this course, the student is expected to define a thesis topic, conduct an appropriate literature review, and conceptualize and develop a solution to the research problem taking note of the underlying methods to be used. The student then writes a thesis proposal and presents it before a selected group of panelists.
