This course covers the fundamentals of Philippine
politics and governance, focusing on the powers of the state, the 1987
Constitution, and the roles of the three branches of government (Executive,
Legislative, and Judiciary) as well as the Constitutional Commissions. It will
also explore the legal aspects of Philippine citizenship, including its loss
and acquisition. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the political
system and the importance of active citizenship in a democratic society.
